Terms of Service and Rules

Rules - Adult = Respect, Courtesy & Common-sense

Unlike most forums, we have opted not to have a rule set as such, instead we have decided to run simply with common-sense and trust you to be an adult. We as the forum staff will treat you in the same manner you treat us.

Who Is This Forum For?

This forum is for combat veterans only, not that you served in the military and have PTSD, but you physically deployed to a combat zone itself and were either land or sea based (in direct naval or air support), and you have PTSD as a direct result of your combat service. No exceptions!

This forum IS NOT for spouses, family or friends of veterans. Spouses, family and friends can find support at PTSD Forum.

Site Moderation

This website is self moderated by users. Any posted information deemed outside of these basic rules can be reported by any member through using the report link on the posted content. The information will then be reviewed and action taken if required.

Spammer

A person here to promote themselves or a product/s, websites, with no real intention other than marketing. You can be a veteran, but if you use that to market yourself over and over here, then it makes you a spammer. (Instant Removal)

Troll

A troll is a person who moves from forum to forum, never really adding anything of value or participating communally, instead only posting argumentative comments with the intent to create arguments, hatred and chaos. (Instant Removal)

Spammers and trolls will be removed with no notice. These instances are not adult mannered, nor reflect any respect towards this forum in a commonsense or adult manner. Forum staff are not going to argue with any members, our only policy is that if you do not treat us with the same respect that you like to be treated, then we will take appropriate action. Very simple. No complications.

Common-sense

Common-sense can at times not be so common for some, so please feel free to ask any question you have, anything you are unsure about, within the "Administration" forum..

One immediate common-sense aspect would be how you address and treat people of the opposite sex here. Remember, this is not the forces, it is not a boys club... treat people with respect, courtesy and in an adult manner. Not all veterans are males, there are female veterans who have equal right to be here and get supported by their peers.

Another immediate common-sense aspect would be where you discuss certain topics. For example, I don't believe it would be appropriate to discuss or share links to your favourite porn site or Facebook babe in the discussion topics. This to me would be more appropriate within the boozer forums, where boozer talk is acceptable. Using common-sense and all.
